western cape high court

Established in 1828, the historic Western Cape High Court originated as the Supreme Court of the Colony of the Cape of Good Hope. With the coming of the Union of South Africa in 1910, the Supreme Court of the Cape Colony was transformed into the Cape of Good Hope Provincial Division. In 2008 it was renamed the Western Cape High Court and the magnificent structure is today considered by many to be a national heritage site.
